Notebook with 8GB of RAM, any suggestion?

I probably will change my laptop in the end of 2009, and I'm oriented towards a machine with 8 gb of ram if possible.

I already checked dell that has some product that supports that amounts of RAM, anyone knows some model of other brand that has that amount of RAM? I need also an E-Sata to use external 10.000 RPM Disk.

HP Envy 15 is a quad core laptop, which can be configured with up to 16GB of ram.

What is your budget?

I think that a quad core is maybe too much. I prefer core duo with higher clock speed since I used Visual Studio a lot and it does not benefit of 4 cores.

for the price since I'm in Italy, comparing prices between USA and Italy is really hard.... but I think 100-1500€ that is about 1500-2000$
