nvidia.exe trojan virus running in background

I downloaded a program which had many viruses on it, and one of them is this nvidia.exe file. My computer doesn't have anything related to nvidia because i have an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 processor and an AMD RX 480 graphics card. I did some research on this trojan, and it looks to be that it is a bitcoin mining trojan, which uses my cpu and gpu power for somebody elses purpose. I tried going into safe mode and removing the trojan, but it keeps coming back. I don't want to wipe windows clean because i have a lot of games, programs, and files that would take forever to re-download

Get trojan remover update it then scan.

See if it removes it

And yes it's safe. I'm a registered user of it. Select all of the options under the utils menu to reset everything after

I have the same problem. I managed to remove this nvidia.exe multiple times now. I already tried using RogueKiller. It detected it during scanning, I removed it, the software says it's killed, but it keeps coming back every time I turn on my PC while being connected to the internet. It seems like my PC downloads it in the background without my permission. In my case, I keep getting BSOD if I boot the PC without internet connection, which makes it worse. I'm still not sure if it's the virus that did this, but I never got a BSOD before. Not until I got nvidia.exe.

I really hope someone knows the solution to this.

Try different anti malware software.
Or reinstall the OS

Are you still dealing with this situation? If so, how are you coping with it, and what did you do

I am. I'm still getting BSOD loop at boot if I don't connect to the internet. The nvidia bastard is still there. So, the only thing I could think of doing was to boot with internet connection, copy my important files into drive D or E and re-install the OS. I haven't done it yet, though. The place where I'm staying at right now isn't the best for PC services. I don't have the Windows install disc.

One thing, do you get BSOD too?
