I recently updated my Nvidia geforce gtx 860m graphics drivers so I could be able to play games on my computer. The problem is that it works for 3-4 days then my computer mysteriously updates and then it no longer wants to cooperate with the game but is fine for the internet. I'm at a loss since I uninstalled then reinstalled it before thinking that was the problem, not the case. Any insight to this problem would be incredibly helpful.

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall NVIDIA graphics.
- Open Program and Features then uninstall anything related to NVIDIA graphics.
- Download and install the latest driver there is.
- Here's the link: nvidia.com/download/index.aspx.
- Reboot the laptop once installed.
- Next is to set your games or application that requires your high graphics with NVIDIA processor.
- Here's how to set it:

Thank you for taking the time to help me but there are two faults with this process, maybe even three. Fault one;
I have done a clean install before and the same process happened again. Fault two; one of your links takes me to a "HTTP 403 Forbidden" Error. Fault three is entirely of my own fault I forgot to mention that when my card crashes it pops up a Kernel 359.06 has stopped working and has successfully recovered. I also forgot my specs, Intel core i7 2.50ghz, 16 Gb of ram, Windows 8.1, and 1 Tb of memory. I have also noticed when I went to set my card to my high graphics that it did not look exactly the same, it was missing sections like in the top ribbon of the screen where file, view and stuff are located. Well "view" was no where to be found.
