In case any of you miss it, my point about health care is that it seems to be why most Americans hate the man. Well, you voted for him. It's called a Democracy, whoever gets the most votes, gets in. At least your President won the election. Right now in Britain we have an unelected Prime Minister, and we may just get another unelected Prime Minister this week, and again later this year.

Drop your xboxes and playstations and you will cure cancer, fight crimes and poverty, work for WORLD PEACE!

By end of 2012, you would either be dead from 1) end of the world or 2) overwork and overstressed

[citation][nom]TunaSoda[/nom]A true democracy would consist of every single American having a yes/no button that they can use to vote for issues[/citation]

Democracy will exist when women do not have the right to vote. In my country all the women voted for a near TV-star guy who is a complete idiot. And now we are stuck with him for 4 years. For Americans: imagine a guy George Clooney with mental retardation and intelligence of a baby chimp (which might be more intelligent than the guy I'm talking about).

[citation][nom]nforce4max[/nom]Oh please that marxist Obama needs to shut his trap or wait his approval ratings are like that of Bush and will be lower by summers end. You can have my entertainment when you pry it from my cold dead hands.[/citation]

Gee, you don't sound like one of those "in your face" types at all. If you are going to make remarks about our President, then at least stick to the truth. Marxist? Far from it. Also, are you saying that those who voted him in are also Marxists? Suck it up. We had to live with GW for 2 terms, so now it is our turn. Just learn to be a good looser and not such a whiner.

"You're coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don't always rank all that high on the truth meter," Obama said...He knows this well, from his own press corps and teleprompters. He is talking/speechifying on the media 24/7. Listen to his own words, then independently check what he said against the truth. Yes, it is often quite different, isn't it?

Gee, us American's voted in an former actor as our president. Some say he was one of the best ever. He was a great orator and I will be honest and say that I am not a Ronald Reagan fan, but he was proof that one's profession does not necessarily imply political failure.

Maybe the women in your country saw that there was nobody worth putting into office and so went with the lesser of evils.

[citation][nom]dmk2000[/nom]The problem I have with his statement is:He clames that he does not know how to oparate iPod. However there are multiple pictures of him running in the morning with iPod by his side. Now can you trust person who lies even about little things?[/citation]
Or can we trust dmk2000, who is looking for any (even miniscule) way to discredit a president whom he is obviously biased against?

[citation][nom]danimal_the_animal[/nom]Another reason obama is a moron! you need a job to buy these.[/citation]

You sound like an anger, ignorant middle-school student with your inane comments. Obama has a great education and if far from being a moron. You should also realize that using a device, and knowing how to use it to it's full capabilities are two different things. For example, how many use cell phones but don't know a thing about setting it up or using it's different applications?

Seriously, I like a guy that speaks his mind.

I like that about Sarah Palin, but hey she got trashed by the media for doing it, and I hope that Obama gets trashed for this comment as well.

He needs to know that his voters are not too distracted by their PS3s to vote him out of office!

You angry people have said the same things as Obama at one point in your life. Blah blah blah A.D.D. kids blah blah blah I hate Apple blah blah blah fanboy love blah blah blah.

Get over it. This article was meant for one reason only. To incite the already too easily provoked masses. Honestly, you're just proving his quote true. You will probably forget about this article within a day (depending on how diligent the Tom's authors are today and tomorrow).

[citation][nom]a4mula[/nom]This administration has repeatedly attacked anyone and anything that doesn't fall into line with their ideology. Never once has there ever been such a blatant attempt to move people away from their own thoughts and beliefs and into those who are in power. This is merely a litmus test to see if they can get away with a Fairness Doctrine that forces broadcasters to offer equal time to opposing views, which the Supreme Court deemed unconstitutional in '87. They refuse to believe that intelligent, thoughtful individuals could actually have an opposing viewpoint, and therefore it must be from failure of media to adequately propagandize for them.[/citation]

You are spot on there!

Apples to oranges. Palin was talking about relevant political issues when she was being blasted by the media. Obama is talking about irrelevant opinions on entertainment to graduates of a University. I'm sure you all cheered when he called Kanye West a jackass.

Oh boy, here we go...I knew it was only a matter of time before Palin was introduced to this discussion. Talk about a diversion.

Look, please read the entire speech. The iPod/Xbox thing makes up one damn line. He spends much more time talking about how the U.S. is lagging behind other developed nations in education, and he's right. That's not an irrelevant opinion -- that's an important political issue.
