Oculus/vive alternative for cheap.

Hey I was just wondering if you guys would know of any cheaper alternatives to the oculus/vive for the PC for around $270 or under with a good FOV and good resolution. Thanks

nothing that's any good. VR is going to be for the rich for a while.

Google Cardboard is probably the only real cheap VR alternative. That's probably not the answer you are looking for, but it's the only way to get reasonably priced VR for now. If all you want to do is experiment with VR a bit, then I suggest you get yourself a cheap viewer and maybe use that $270 for a phone upgrade if you don't think your current phone is up to snuff.

I know this post is old but I'll probably get the OSVR HDK2 since it's $400 and seems like it decent enough.
