Odd Internet Problems with packard bell nav50 notebook

I bought a second hand packard bell notebook Model Number: Nav50.
after a few months of using it whenever I turn it on with the power cable plugged in the internet connection will only last for around for 5 minutes then the connection will drop out without any explanation.
Not only will it loose my own internet connection, it wont be able to find or connect to any other connection in the area before they disappear .
Even if there is no power going threw the charging cable.
When i turn it on without the cable plugged in and then plug in it works fine.
If anyone can give me an explanation to why this is happening and if possible how to fix it i will be very greatful.

click on start in the search field type CMD
once you open the black window type ipconfig /release and check if that helped...if it still didnt do ipconfig /renew
lastly I would reset the wireless card...you can do that by going to the device manager and locate the wireless card...right click disable and the right click and enable

i tried ipconfig /release and /renew but keeps saying no operation can be performed while it has media disconnected
