My older model toshiba connected to the wifi fine yesterday but won't even show any available networks today. It doesn't have an on/off wifi button either and the F8 button literally does nothing. It just keeps saying to plug in an Ethernet cable. Can someone please help? It's not the router because my iPod connects to it perfectly fine.

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help.
- Do uninstall/reinstall the wifi adapter.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the Wireless Adapter.
- Once uninstalled reboot your laptop and it should reinstall the driver automatically.
- If it doesn't reinstall, download and install the latest driver from the manufacturer site.
- After installing the latest driver do test if your laptop will connect to your wireless network again.
- If these doesn't work do also try pressing on fn+F8 to enable/disable your wireless adapter.
- If all these will not work your last option would be to run a complete factory reset.
