Olympus all weather 700 digi camera.

Seems a common fault, the blue screen with error type messages. My camera is only about two years old but has been "got at". Lens just goes in and out and wont take pics. Is there a cure?

Remove the battery and and leave the camera overnight while charging the battery separately. Plug in the charged battery and see what happens.

If nothing, it's back to the dealer. If you are in the UK, don't accept any nonsense about the warranty being expired, a camera is a consumer durable and should long outlast a one year warranty.

Thanks very much for your help. I had inadvertently done this whilst charging the battery when I first had the trouble. I thoiught the battery was just abouot flat.
