I don't think it is OLPC not planning to provide Windows XP version of the XO-1 available in the Give 1 Get 1 program, I think it is Microsoft not wanting to provide it.. Reason for not providing it in G1G1 could be cause Microsoft doesn't want people to see how much better it is then Vista, running Windows on cheap low power hardware is not very attractive business model for Microsoft in the developped countries. They don't mind in developping countries though.

Shipping an XO-1 with XP is not a win for Microsoft. It's just another Vista loss.

Eh, they could always call it a Vista derivative, and give it a vista standard skin.
