I'm seeking the optimal frequency ranges for an indoor HDTV antenna 50 or 60 miles from desired TV stations

Almost all HD antennas work on the same frequency range. HD broadcasts are mostly on UHF frequencies with some possible high-VHF channels. 50 to 60 miles from the transmitter may require an outdoor antenna to get adequate signal. It may also be the case that the indoor antenna will have to be at an odd angle relative to the rest of the house for optimum signal. In the US, you can use www.antennaweb.org to determine recommended antenna size and orientation for any zip code.
