Solved! Paired outlets

I'm looking for a set of smart plugs which can be paired so one turns the other on when a switch is flipped and it is powered. The problem is we have a set of lamps in our living room and only one is connected to a switch-controlled outlet. So we turn on that lamp and then can see to turn on the other. I don't even need a recommendation for a product, just the term for this feature (which I assume has to exist).

I know these aren't necessarily "smart" in the strictest use of the term, but haven't had any luck finding these in a dumb variety and hope smart tech will provide the solution.

Your description of how you want to accomplish you goal is clear but I don't think there is a product that will do that in that way.

You should be able to assign both lamps to one switch so they will both go on and off together.

While not exactly "smart", is it possible to run an extension cord from the switch to the other lamp? Simple, effective, if you can run the thing along a wall base.
