Pavillion dv9700 Shutting Down

I have HP Pavillion dv9700. It automatically turns off. Power light stay on, but won't power up. I can remove the battery, wait a few minutes. then return the battery to the notebook and the notebook powers back up.

Do you know the solution.

Sounds like it is overheating. Have you noticed it running hotter than usual of late? Download either RealTemp or Speedfan to check the temps (both are free) and report back to us on it.
