PC and Television audio

Is there a way to have my tv play audio to my PC so that I could hear it through my headphones? To make this clear I do want to play anything from my PC to my TV, I have a Roku and I wish to be able to here my TV through my wireless Headphones I use on my PC. I was thinking maybe using the TV's optical port and running that into the back of my PC (although I would have to buy a soundcard) I might be able to hear the TV using my PC headphones

You might be able to get that to work but it seems simpler to add a transmitter to the TV that is compatible with your headphones. If they are bluetooth then one of these

If the headphones have their own transmitter get another one for the TV.
