PC to HDTV via HDMI Cable with stand alone subwoofer?

Hey guys!

I have a quick question.

So I have my PC running from my HDMI cable to my HDTV and I am using the tv speakers as my audio source. I also have a stand alone Phillips powered sub. I have the sub hooked up to my sound card (Sound Blaster Z) and I get audio through the sub (RCA to a 3.5mm jack hooked up to the sub channel output on card) but that requires me to disable my tv audio and enable my sound card.

My question being, is there a way that I can use my tv speakers via HDMI from my pc and use the sub with it? Any help would be great! Thanks!

Does your TV have any audio output which you can link to your amp/sub? That would be the best way

Well Ive got the AV audio inputs and also a Audio out 3.5 jack for head phones but wouldn't that cancel out my hdmi and just play back through that jack??
