PC won't recognize my speakers

I have a set of Logitech speakers... 2 small L/R speakers and a larger bass. The bass has a USB cable and a power cable. Both are connected. The 2 smaller speakers connect to the bass. They work fine on my laptop, also Windows 10, but have never been recognized on my new Dell. Not even a small "pop" like you would expect when the USB is connected. The only speaker listed in SETTINGS is Realtek. What's going on?

Realtek is your chipset that controls the speaker output on a desktop
if your speakers are strictly USB based, then I will assume you need to goto device manager and inspect if the hardware has a yellow or red triangle on it. it could be as simple as downloading drivers.

Thanks for the info, but exactly what hardware are you speaking of? There are no yellow or red triangles anywhere on the device manager window. I have attempted to update drivers by clicking on the speaker icon and it says my PC has the most current drivers. Still, when any type of audio plays it comes through the PC speakers as a tinny-like sound, not through the Logitech speakers. Should I see Logitech speakers in the device manager menu? Logitech Z313. And I have to retract a statement... they used to work on my laptop prior to switching the USB cable to my desktop. I just connected them to the laptop and they are not recognized. Now I see that there are others with the same issue, and I have not read through all the threads. When I have this type of an issue, I always assume it is something ridiculously simple that I am missing. So far I am still missing it. Thanks.

Any device with a headphone jack (3.5mm) input

yes you mentioned USB device.
Even the user manual http/www.logitech.com/assets/47083/4/speaker-system-z313.pdf doesn't show anything related to a USB connectivity.
so I am confused.

You're right, I did say USB. My bad... it's a pin type speaker connector. BUT, by pointing out my dumb error, you got me thinking that maybe I have the wrong connector plugged in. Unfortunately, no. But in the maze of wires beneath my desk, I did find an on/off switch and volume control. It is turned ON and the green light is lit, but the volume was turned down. By turning the volume up a bit, I now hear a hum from the sub-woofer, but music and all sounds still come from the PC internal speaker. Now that you've pointed me to a users manual, I will peruse that for a bit, then I'm going on to other things. Thanks for your help! I appreciate it.
