I have had my philips fwb-c399 for a while now. I decided to keep just the speakers to connect them to an amp and from there to my laptop or my phone with an aux cable. First of all is this possible and secondly can any of you suggest me an amp for them in the price range of about 150 euros?

To make sure that the amp will work with the speakers you would want to know the impedance.

You will want an amp with a maximum of 120 watts into that impedance. Since the power specs of mini systems is not honest the actual power may be half the 120 watt rms spec so I would suggest an amp or receiver of 50-100 watts will work fine. Can't make a specific suggestion not knowing what is available in your country. If you can find a used amp or receiver it might offer higher quality of sound than the speakers offer so you can upgrade to better speakers later.
