Reversion to factory settings should only occur when Volume -, BASS -, and TREBLE are pressed in sequence within three seconds. http/download.p4c.philips.com/files/h/htl2163b_12/htl2163b_12_dfu_aen.pdf You may want to try updating the unit's software (page 11 of the manual).
