phillips 52" LCD screen issues

The tv comes on fine but after a bit it slowly goes crazy and will only turn off then on unless it sits for awhile. I have a video of it ill show , my first thought was a connection but before i tear into it id like to know if thats even it. in the video i smacked the top a few times but the tv does the same regardless of if i touch it or not.

Are the cables inserted properly? Looks like the TV is defective. Is it still under warranty?

no warranty of course! i havent even opened it yet just wanted to get a second opinion before i did. I didnt think it would be cables just cause the way it acts but i thought if someone else had a idea id check that also
