Phone for Senior

My Mom is almost 90. She has difficulty hearing and seeing. She will use her cell mostly to make long distance calls within the US. If voice texting were available she might use that. But she would not use the Internet. What phone would you recommend? What carrier would fit her needs?

My first suggestion would be a phone/tablet combo to allow your mother a better chance of seeing the screen with less eye-strain.

Any Android setup can add a speech to text facility.

I'm English so I can't recommend a carrier but good luck for you and Ma.
