hi there! i´m looking for a good gaming headset and after a few days of (intense) search i´ve found the plantronics. since the ideal for me is to be using one pair for everything, i wanted to know if there´s any way of connecting them to my phone, by disconnecting the USB thing or by any other way.

thanks

Solution
1) Your headphones may require electricity to operate. This is not an available function of your phone's headphone jack.

2) The pin connector has the potential to operate the headphones ans the mic. You will be forced to use the built-in mic if you operate the phone with the connector used in the previously listed adapters. But again, the entire headset may require electricity to operate. You phone does not supply the electricity required normally carried over a USB connection.

Just try one of those adapters. If it doesn't work, you're only out $5-6USD.

Not sure if these USB to 3.5mm adapters work strictly carrying an analog signal from the 3.5mm jack of your phone to the headphones and mic of your headset. I can't locate a pinout for these particular adapters. But both of the below adapters are very cheap. Also not sure if your headset REQUIRES power to opterate.

Any time good Sir. Let's hope that adapter will in fact work. If you kindly post back here on whether or not it does, would really help someone else with the same issue.
