Hi guys this is something that driving my crazy and I simply can't get my head around..just hear me out.

I have HTPC and I have HD6970 card with HDMI to Pioneer 1022 AVR and from AVR to my 55' HDTV.

Simple setup right ? Everything works great including 7.1 mkv and HD sound but just 1 little question that simply driving me crazy.

Movies are 24 fps but my TV is set to show 60. My question is this. Does it make ANY difference to let TV be on 60FPS and play movie VIA WMP that 24 FPS or to get maximum desired quality my director my TV needs to be on 24 FPS (I can set 24 fps in catalyst but for other things I do I like 60 fps)

Cause in fraps when I play movie I see 60/59 when playing movie on TV in WMP window.

I hope all this make any sense. Please let me know.

Solution
when you play a 24p movie on 60hz there is some frame duplication. I've yet to notice it and it doesn't sound like you have either.

Yeah , no diffirence whatsoever. I do see some players, like xbmc and some other support "Match content frame rate on output device" But again it looks totally the same. I tried low resolution content as well as bluRay quality, same thing I don't see anything. So 24 fps movie looks identical on 60fps tv.
