No. You would need to use a 5.1 encoder to change audio of the tracks. Audacity works well. Normal music tracks are not recorded in surround sound.

Mp3s are compressed files. You will never get a real 5.1 surround. Best you can get from Mp3 is typical L/R stereo.

The DVD player will only output 2 channels from an mp3 or CD. You would select a sound mode on your surround sound system that is made to extract or synthesize 5.1 from a 2.0 source. Try each one and use the one you like. It will vary depending on the music which works best for you.
