Plays in pc not in dvd player

I purchased a DVD from Amazon 6/10/11. It plays on my PC. I have an older Memorex DVD player (about 8 years old). When I try to play it, it goes to "loading"...then responds "no disc". Any ideas what the problem is? I've never had this problem before.

Try this:

1) Remove the non-playing DVD from the DVD player.
2) Unplug the DVD player for 30 seconds.
3) Plug the DVD player back in.
4) See if your non-playing DVD will play now.

If that doesn't work, please provide the model number of your Memorex DVD player.

It didn't work, the model number is MVD2037

I found the Manual here. On page 32, in the Troubleshooting section, it states to press the Stand By button and then unplug the device. Wait one minute and then plug the device back in.
