I have an android phone, a Pulse Vortex, and I recently plugged my earbuds into the phone to listen to music. But when I then powered on the phone, instead of taking me to the home page, a strange menu I had never seen before came on the screen, with all kinds of dire warnings. In trying to get out of the menu, I clicked on something and saw the message "Data Formatted". The nest thing I knew, all my data was erased. I mean, are you freaking kidding me? You can delete your data just by plugging in an earphone? WTF?

No it didn't delete your data because you plug it an earphone, it delete your data because you didn't read and click on something that reset your phone.

Yes, that is correct, but what I want to know is, why did that menu appear on my phone when I plugged in the earphone? Is a strange menu supposed to appear on the screen when you plug in an earphpone?
