Right half of screen either stays blue or has colored static on startup or shortly after startup. Left half is fine. Usually right is fine after a few minutes.

parts in the power supply are failing?

Terminal connector board (T-Con) is failing or a bad panel. ShopJimmy.com has a T-con for $39. It may be the panel though. One way to find out.
