You can't just blame the boy come on. Yes, it was wrong to send it to his friends. But the girl wasn't no better. Is she locked up at home, does she never hear the storys of what happens when other kids do this shit. This is was a simple case of "it won't happen to me". And now she's paying the price for it. This in no way should be a criminal act to anybody involved. She did something stupid, he did something stupid, his friends did something stupid. Kids are stupid.. This is shocking how?

hmm... well, i'll probably get shot down for this by some christian. Anyway, i have no trust in the law, so i use the concept of responsibility and consequence as a form of judging my moral stance. So, a 16 year old sent a picture of herself to her 16yo boyfriend. Boyfriend sends it to his 16yo mates. The only consequence that should be utilized is a girl losing abit of her dignity and get told off by parents. But after a couple weeks everyone would have forgotten about it and moved on with the next gossip. This punishment does not fit the crime.

Now with the whole "child pornography" debate, there will always a person in society that will obtain these items no matter how many laws and advancements in the technology there is. I am not defending these people in the least, but i think we are stabbing ourselves in the foot in terms of freedoms and rights if we allow authorities to hunt down these people in a brute force manor. Unless other countries co-operate to find those people abusing children, there will always be child pornography. Granted, 1 pedophile arrested is another kid safer but i am just pointing out there is allows going to be a minority group in society and these laws shaped towards them are hurting everyone else who chooses to live coherently.

Another words, live and teach kids knowing that a threat exists rather than to be unknowingly aware of these people as they get smarter and more evasive due to keeping one step ahead of police. These photos on the mobile would not have an impact on capturing those people that do exploit the children. That is the reason the law exists does it not?

Its out of control in the States, I mean I like Americans and everything, but its just ridiculous

All the same stuff goes on in Europe, but theres a more common sense approach to it, we just accept that teens are having sex younger, we just don't prosecute the hell of them for it and ruin their lives..

I'm was an English teacher, and I'll tell you, a lot of sex goes on, consentual sex, teachers, students, everything, but the different with Europe is, it rarely gets reported and punished here, unless theres a 'REAL' victim. In most cases there isn't.

So if you're 17 and your GF is 16, then technically you're a pedophile since you then are having sex with a child. If you have a nude picture of your 16 year old GF, then you're in possession of child pornography!

I think the line for child should be drawn at 14. From 15 and up, you're a sexually mature teenager.

[citation][nom]sliem[/nom]So if I RECEIVE a nude pic of 16yr old (regardless of sex), and accidently view it, I'm going to jail -- and not the sender?FUCK YOU (sender and justice system).[/citation]

In the U.S. this is akin to "entrapment," only the induction of the broken law is not caused by law enforcement, but by a citizen.

I would go this route for a defense.

Anyone who played "show me yours I'll show you mine" as kids should go to jail according to the law. Can anyone say that it never happened until they were 18? You are all criminals, until the law is changed.

It's stupid to send naked pics of yourself especially if your 16, but I can understand why she did it. It's another thing to send the picture to all of your friends...

This happens everyday so I don't understand why this might be surprising or even on the news..

[citation][nom]nachowarrior[/nom]Kid's are going to be kids. We were just sneakier about it when WE were kids... you know? I understand the whole "child porn" issue, but if you throw e\/ery kid in ju\/ie that does this then we will ha\/e a whole slew of criminalized children, for doing things that their hormones tell them to do. Not to mention the fact that people under the age of 18 ha\/e sex all the time, is that considered child molestation? These things happen, Get the crap under control, delete it and ha\/e their parents kill their cell phone's for a month. Parenting can go a way in helping stopping this kind of thing from happening. EG: no camera phones. Keystroke loggers, etc.[/citation]

Writing V's like that "\/" Just makes you look stupid. I know you are trying to look cool, but thats just retarded.
