poor internet connection

One night at random after not downloading anything my laptop just started connecting poorly to the internet. It had a week signal strength no matter how close to the router i was and would cut out every few minutes entirely. Any help would be much appreciated

What kind of router is it? Is it from your ISP or a 3rd party router? Have you tried resetting it?

And are you sure you're connected to the right one? If you're very close to it and you're getting a weak signal something fishy is going on
