Possible to fix Shure E2 Sound-isolation In-Ears From shorting out

I don't know why but about 2 weeks ago my Shure's have been shorting out near the part that plugs into your everyday Electronics. Any possible fix or answer as to why?

Don't know why? after many twistings cablings will fray, a common occurrence. Shure's cables are replaceable I believe?
