i have HP 530 notebook, it came with core duo t2050 cpu and 512 mb memory, recently i upgraded it with core 2 duo t7200 cpu, 3gb memory and replaced hdd with ssd.
but now i have one problem, power adapter (charger) makes some noice sometimes and notebook shut down by itself few times.
i think i need "better" power adapter because of more powerfull cpu.
here are their "VID Voltage Ranges" according to official intel website:
old cpu - T2050 - 0.7625-1.3V
new cpu - T7200 - 1.0375V-1.300V
their TDPs are almost the same: 31W and 34W
as i know if i use power adapter with more amperage than notebook requires it wont be a problem but if i use wrong voltage it will damage something.
current power adapter parameters are:
input: 100-240v 1.7a 50-60 hz
output: 18.5v 3.5a 65w
please tell me which power adapter do i need.

thank you

i guess you have not read my post properly...
my power adapter works well with old cpu, i am asking which parameters should new power adapter have to handle new cpu.
