I HAD a powered sub (Polk DSW Pro500) that the ps failed on. It was connected to my 7.1 receiver (Onkyo TX-SR805). Is there a way to connect the line-in on the sub to the reciever in a non-coax (LFE) way? I put the system together 9 years ago and don't remember my way around the components very well any longer, plus my guru passed away;(
P.S. I am not currently using the secondary amplified channel(s) so there is an amplified out available, just not sure if it has enough power and if so, how to make it work?

Refer to manual, use wiring option#2.

While this option uses your front channels for power, I do not know if the sub's PSU is needed for its control circuit (if any). Not ideal, you of course want the sub to have its own amplifier but if you don't want to repair it.... and no, there is no way to use one of you other unused channels for the sub.
