Going to faraway lands soon, and i'm bringing my trust G74S gaming laptop with me for some light gaming, EvE online, old steam games etc. Let's make this easy on you. What sort of inverter would i want to power this thing in the car? I have one already but it's pretty old and i don't know if it'll cut it. I remember it was able to power a PS2 all those years ago. On the power brick, the input is 100-240 V 2.0A, which i'm assuming means amps. The model of the brick is "ADP-150NB D"

Thanks for your help

Hi :)

I run an inverter on my Porsche at shows in the summer... to run videos on a laptop...

Its the VOLTAGE that matters, you are going to go from 12 volts (car voltage) UP TO normally 19 volts (most laptops...)

One piece of advice, do NOT run the Laptop for long without the engine running..I have a HUGE battery in my car and running the inverter for longer than an hour WITHOUT the engine running will flatten even my battery in under 2 hours...

Personally I take a couple of spare batteries now...much easier..

All the best Brett :)
