Hello, 20 years ago I purchased a VSP straight wire II preamp to go with a VSP amplifier. I .only use my setup to listen to music. Now my preamp needs replacing. what should I look for in purchasing another preamp?

There is no particular matching issue so the criteria are the inputs you need, as well as the sound quality. Visit a local dealer, bring some music and do some listening.
