[citation][nom]Bunz_of_Steel[/nom]do your own research Arabs, Persian you miss the point meewog! They should have at least had enough respect to portray a Persian/Arabian or whateva correctly. I still Denzel or Jamie would have made a closer representation of an Persian or Arabian prince better than this... whatever he is. sanctoon you said lots of Arabs are white, fair skin and blah blah blah.... Yeh so? Put them in this movie then![/citation]
would you please, post a picture of a black Persian?! as a Persian myself, it is interesting for me to see picture of a black skin Persian!
you know, you dont have to be right about everything. it's not a big deal but maybe you should admit that you are wrong! cause as a Persian, i know what i am, and im sure, after reading your comments, you dont know me and my people! this movie is about a Persian prince, i cant see the point in changing a western actor with an Arab or black actor!
i can give you an example! imagine if they build a movie about Dr. King, with a Persian actor (of course he will be white!) playing his role! that's exactly what you are saying. My point is if you want to fix anything, fix it in the right way rather than make same mistake again.
Collin Farrell was not Greek or Macedonian and he played Alexander's role. Or that guy who played Xerxes the Great in that stupid movie, 300 ! he was not Persian and he didn't look like king Xerxes or a Persian even 1% ! it is Hollywood, we cant do anything about it!
my own opinion is it's ok for an American movie about eastern world to have American/western actors, and i cant see what is wrong with that?!
btw we can't change Hollywood by posting comments on Tom's guide! i just wanted to at least teach you this: Persians and Arabs are two completely different races with different cultures and history.
