Problems with audio on Toshiba TV

I have HDMI cable and HDMI Roku connected to my relatively new Toshiba TV. I get audio on the Roku input but not on the cable.

First check the menus in the cable box to make sure that it is set up correctly. If you have a choice of audio output types try them each. Sometimes rebooting the box will help.
Next connect the cable box to the input that works. Try a different cable. You should be able to tell if the problem is the cable box, TV or HDMI cable.
