Problems with TV - Soundbar audio connection

Connected sharp aquos lc-60le550u to samsung sound bar hw-km45c using optical cable. Ran HDM1 from tv to cable box, hdmi 2 from tv to ps3 and can't seem to get sound on any inputs. Looked in tv settings and can't find any solution. Please help

Does sound work on the TV normally without the soundbar? If it does, maybe cable or ports are bad, or you did not enable the external sound in the TV options.
