program to rip 64kbps mono mp3 ??

I know that Musicmatch can do this, but
it seems to use one channel and does not
evenly combine left and right to a mono mix.
I hear stuff missing from one channel in the mix.
Can someone recommend a better program?

See if Cdex will do this. Otherwise, you can switch to mono with an
editor like Audacity.
