projector sound dropout

Any ideas on sound drop out on video through projector issue, using compaq and hp. Initially changes over to projector with sound ,plays the song for a minute and sound turns off , projector is still fine, sound can be resumed after removing hdmi cable but seems to drop out again after a minute. Any ideas would be appreciated. Browser firefox

disable any energy saving options -> set windows energy options to high performance

which player do you use? try a different one like vlc, media player classic...

test with a different HDMI cable
