Proscan tv help

proscan plded4016a 40-inch 1080p full hd led tv...I have that tv which seems to have the red/ white audio on the back and I'm trying to hook them up to LG Electronics CM4550 700W 2.1 Channel Shelf System (2015 Model)... that stereo which has the red/ white audio in jacks on the back of it. Why will hooking the red to the red and the white to the white not give me sound when hooked up from the tv to the stereo? I switched the stereo to Aux setting and I can't find an Aux setting on the tv. Thanks

The connection is right, try selecting on the TV source A/V.

On my settings I only have TV, DV, YPBPR, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI3, PC. none of these work... it's possibly my red/ white port could be the problem?

I can get sound through the stereo using an adapter into the headphone port on the tv but that sounds like too much static through the stereo

The only audio output on that TV is the headphone jack. You may have the TV volume set too high which will cause the input of the HTS to overload. Turn the TV volume down and the HTS volume up to achieve the same volume without the noise. If the TV speakers don't turn off when you plug into the headphone jack then try doing that in the TV menu.

Does this tv have the audio out for the red/ white jacks?
