i'm setting up a 2nd computer via a KVM switch. i will use my older computer for internet and email and it has malware, virus and spyware protection on it.
my new computer will be a gaming computer but i will be playing MMOs on it and will also be hooked up to the internet to play these games.
do i need spyware, malware, virus protection for the gaming computer too?

i use avast! antivirus, malwarebytes' anti-malware, and SUPERAntiSpyware, all free.. are these ok to use? are there better free ones?

If you are connected to the internet or any network, I recommend A/V software. You may be able to trust your computer, but can you trust all the ones it communicates with? All it takes is one infected computer on a network to start spreading it around.
