hi guys

i am into tech stuff but i never really get the HD thing

when watch YouTube it playes 320P , and if i fullscreen it it goes 480P

what does it mean?? (yes i know 320 & 480p arent HD)....

why when it starts (not fullscren) it doesnt start 480P/?/??

i will say that the 480p takes more bandwidth to be loaded

but when i watch videos i can also chose 720P & 1080P but i dont see any defrence .....

*i dont have HD screen it connected with the VGA cable (blue) although my onboard video card

support HD ....

a standard crt that can do 800x600 could still show a difference between 480p and 720p

so i dont see why you are not seeing any difference between the two.
maybe because the 800 is nothing close to 1280
but
i know that i can watch 720p @ 1024x768 and see a big difference.

i had an old sony 32 inch trinitron that could do 1024x768 when connected to the computer.
it wasnt any good for reading text, and the screen was sold as a standard definition television.
but from far away.. youtube videos would be alright.

you said you dont have an HD screen.
i dont think you are going to see a lot of difference between 480p and 720p if the screen resolution is less than 1024x768

why does youtube start the video at 320p ?
because some people dont care to change it, and it saves bandwidth.
maybe you could sign up and choose to play all videos in 480p if it is an available option.
