Hello everyone,

So I bought this Toshiba Laptop equipped with a i7-5500U and 8GB ram and a R7 m260 2GB GDDR3 and on Windows 10. Now after a few months using the laptop mainly for using Adobe Illustrator and Indesign I wanted to play some low performance games just to kill time sometime. So I play Runescape (RS3) and Hearthstone. Which both games seem to be having Major frame drops and freezes. I have uninstalled the R7 m260 drivers and ran it on the HD5500 graphics which ran both games on quite frame rates, but no major freezes or whatsoever.

I have put everything of the AMD settings on max performance, and still no luck.
A R7 m260 should be faster then a HD 5500 graphics card right?

I hope someone knows how to fix this problem...

Sincerely,

Sander

Hi,

I have a similar Toshiba with exactly the same Graphics card with the same problems. I would take a look at this forum to shed some light on the situation: http://www.tomsguide.com/answers/id-2822328/amd-radeon-m260-problem.html

The only fix I have found is to roll back the driver. It is certainly a driver issue and will most likely be fixed by AMD in due time. However, I am taking mine back to the shop tommorow to get a refund and buy a new one (which I am hopefull they will do).

Hope this helps!

im having same problems with this chip. the latest drivers dont work. i used GPU-z to check the clockspeed. with the latest drivers the clock maxes out on 600MHz i rolled the drivers back to version 15.201.1101.0
now the clock reaches its maximum of 980MHz
however the fps problem still persists. on high settings and low settings the fps stays the same never above 14. makes no sense. im still looking for a solution. if i find one i will post it.
