LCD, DLP...in another week or 2 I'll need LSD !! I think I'm burnt out
looking at HDTV sets and I'm just going to order a 62HM84 for a great price
and settle for that. I haven't seen a rainbow on a dlp or the "screen door"
effect of LCD provided I stay away about 8-10'. My living room is 18' x 26'
so we'll not have any problems getting back from the set.
I LOVE the LCD Sony KDF60XS955, picture and style. Price isn't too bad at
CC either...they are 2 blocks away, so it's "handy".
I LOVE the Tosh dlp too. But can't buy it locally for a decent price.
Same with the Mits 62725 DLP...I can buy it for a "decent" price, but it's
STILL 1000 bucks more than the Tosh.
Yeah, I know the tosh doesn't have the receiver built in...and the 84 model
doesn't have the cable card slot. But damn, I'm reading so much about
people having problems with the cards that it's just best to use the comcast
box so you can get the menu channel and ppv feature. I consider myself I
pretty "sharp" shopper....but this is my most confusing purchasing yet!!
I'm hardly a video buff at all and WILL watch a lot of TV in analog. Like I
said, I have comcast too. Prolly watch 50-50 analog/dvd-hdtv. So here's my
questions:
1. What about the future of LCD? Man, that KDF sure looks nice
2. The tosh 62hm84 is a steal at 2700....but it doesn't have cable card or
a built in receiver. Will I need either having comcast?
3. Is the Mits "worth" 1000 bucks more than the Tosh given my viewing
habits/situation?
Thanks for reading/responding...and YES, I'm still learning by reading posts
and reading forums...so if I've said something incorrectly, have pity.
.....and happy new year to all.
