Ram Or CPU for Sony movie studio?

which does sony movie studio use more, 4gb more of ram or 2 extra threads.
i currently have a laptop with 2 cores 4 threads with 4GB of ram
and i also have a desktop with 2 core 2 threads with 8Gb of ram
which one would have better/faster rendering and previewing time

I think GPU and RAM are mor important. If you have a decent CPU, of course.

I would say GPU > RAM > CPU. Aalways with a decent level of each, you can't expect a 980Ti to perform miracles if you have 1GB RAM and a Pentium 2 😛
