Random Monitor Blank screen through laptop (VGA)

My monitor went blank but still has a signal, I tried switching the VGA cable but it still connects to a blank screen. I thought I needed a new monitor, but the new monitor does the same thing. I use a monitor because I have problems with my laptop screen going white sometimes, now I can't even connect a monitor to it either. If it goes white again, I guess im out of a laptop.

If you can't get anything on either display, the GPU is probably the issue.
