RAW file thumbnails in windows?

Hi all, my mate is able to display his RAW files from his Canon 10D in
windows as thumbnails, not little icons like I get. He said he had to do
something to windows xp to get them to display like this, but he can't
remember where he found the information to do so? Anyone out there know how
to do this? Thanks in advance

You might try going to View > Thumbnails in WinXP and see if that will
do what you want.

Most RAW formats include a small JPEG for thumbnail purposes is this article

I wonder if your mate has some software that works like a plug-in for
Windows Exploder?

Nikon has a plug in for Windows XP to display RAW/NEF files in thumbnails
view. Go to Nikon's site and go to downloads. I guess it would work with a
Canon.
