Razer carcharias + headset adapter, mic not working

Howdy readers,

I bought a new headset (Razer Carcharias) last week and combined it with a headset adapter. My laptop is an Asus R510CC which only has a combined mic/speaker input. I'm using an adapter that goes from a 4 pole 3,5 mm jack to 2x 3 pole 3,5mm jack. The speakers of the headset are working absolutely fine, but the microphone is not working.`

When checking my recording devices I see a Razer Line In device and I'm also able to select that device in programs such as Skype and Teamspeak.
Teamspeak gives a clear error: Error, can not open capture device.

The Microphone seems to be needing an amplified port which is not found in my laptop. I bought a 12 pound, USB 3D sound controller 5.1 from König Electronic and with this the microphone is working perfect.
