Hello, I was wondering if this is naturally with most other headsets.

I have had my headset for more over a year and now the left speaker doesn't work completely all of a sudden. The only temporary fix is to unplug and re-plug the audio jack.

Is this naturally for it to last this long? Or should it last longer?

Should I get a another headset w/ modmic or should I just return and get a new one?

Solution

The Kraken 7.1 has a default cable of USB, right? My Kraken 7.1 Chroma does, so you shouldn't need to borrow one from a friend. I think you might be confused and have the Kraken Pro, since those use a 3.5mm audio jack. So either edit this thread or make a new one that is asking about the Kraken Pro, as the 7.1 is USB not 3.5mm.

Thank you for your response, but I tried and to no effect. It seems that the left side had no sound what-so-ever. The only way I found I could get sound back is if I unplug the 3.5mm jack from the jack-splitter and re-plug it.

Not sure if this info will help, but I plugged the single 3.5 jack into my mobile device and still the left side has zero sound. I will try to get a USB cable from my friend to test it out though.
