I have an RCA video output cable coming from a security camera system and would like to use a spare computer monitor that I have as a display. The computer monitor has VGA and DVI-D inputs. Will a simple component RCA to DVI adapter work? If not, what are my options?

the adapter works, but how much video signal level from the camera? is the video level adjustable from the camera? you may have to tweek the video level to get the brightness going.

I just went to a cable manufactures website to order one
I used their chat line to decide between DVI and VGA (to RCA)
they said DVI won't work (analog to digital problem) and VGA wouldn't work but they were vague as to why.
They recommended (said it was the "best and only" solution) a converter box for $80.
Any insight into this?
