Real player problem

Hi, I am writing this mail to ask for information. How come when I download a video like this http://www.striscialanotizia.mediaset.it/video/videoll.shtml?2006/11/lauda23.wmv when I open it goes in spurts? I also tried to convert him, but without results going to click. Why?
Sorry for English, but since I'm ITALIAN I used a translator.

wmv is a windows media format. try to play it in the Windows media Player and see if it is any better.

How did you convert it? I just want to make sure you don't confuse renaming a file and converting a file (seen it too many times).
