Have rebuilt laptop that is taking forever to boot up. I have a black screen a lot of the times. When it finally does boot up and run clicking on programs is a very slow response time.
Hoping this can be fixed. Please help

Solution
Hi,

Please do try some of these troubleshooting steps that might help.
- Disable Startup items in Task Manager
- In Task Manager go to Startup tab and from there you can disable all the startup items to see if that's the cause of the slow boot up.
- If that doesn't work try adjusting the laptop to it's best performance.
- Right click on Computer and click on Properties.
- In Properties on the left pane click on Advance system settings
- Once in System Properties go to Advanced tab and click on Settings under Performance
- in Visual Effects tab select Adjust to best performance and click on Apply then OK and test the laptop again.
- Lastly is to do a Factory Reset if all these troubleshooting steps didn't work.
